This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10 Days (07:00 - 17:30) with one scheduled late shift per week from 10:00 - 20:30 to accommodate cases that run over.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients undergoing various cardiac procedures. The nurse will work within a two-room cath lab, supporting a daily average of 7-14 cases.

Responsibilities

Assist in various cardiac procedures including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemaker insertion, and Cardioversions.
Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Monitor and manage patients before, during, and after procedures.
Provide on-call support as scheduled, ensuring availability within a 30-minute arrival time of the facility.
Float to pre-op/PACU within the unit/specialty as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cardiac Cath lab setting is required.
Current RN license in the state of Maryland or Compact License.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required; CPI certification is needed on-site during orientation.
Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
Preferred: Previous charge experience and community hospital experience.
