Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations and performing ultrasound procedures, focusing on their comfort and satisfaction. The Sonographer will explain procedures in simple terms, monitor patients during examinations, and ensure the capture of high-quality images according to established guidelines.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examinations while prioritizing comfort and satisfaction.
Explain ultrasound procedures in easy-to-understand language.
Perform ultrasound procedures and monitor patients during the process.
Set up equipment timely and ensure all images and studies are complete.
Maintain records and logs of exams performed.
Control inventory and purchase supplies for the assigned area.
Relieve patients of pre-testing anxiety and observe for critical findings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must be highly trained and comfortable scanning TAVR and Mitraclip.
Documented experience with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases in echocardiography.
Proficiency in valvular assessment, strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS or CCI).
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
