Schedule
Night shift required: 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekends are mandatory, and the ability to float is required if needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide direct care to obstetrical patients, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, executing providers' orders, evaluating effects, documenting care, and communication with the care team.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to obstetrical patients.
- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions during labor and delivery.
- Document care appropriately in the medical record.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and Cesarean sections.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (within the last 6 months).
- Custodial Service Safety Management Training (CPI) must be completed prior to starting.
- 1 year of clinical experience; Meditech experience preferred.
