Float RN - Night Shift - 13 Weeks

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays, and up to 2 weekends per month.

Job Description

This role is a dedicated float nurse position requiring flexibility to move between ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and MedSurg units based on patient volume. Candidates must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays during their contract.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care across multiple units as required by staffing needs.
Adhere to BLS, ACLS, and PALS protocols.
Manage patient ratios typically of 1:5-6, varying by unit and patient acuity.
Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC for charting and managing patient information.
Respond efficiently to emergencies and collaborate with rapid response and code teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including travel experience.
Active NC or Multistate nursing license required.
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
Recent experience with EMR, specifically EPIC.
