Job Description

Provides full-time, quality outpatient and inpatient physical therapy care. Treats all patient age ranges and diagnoses within Alaska's physical therapy scope of practice. Incorporates evidence-based medicine into patient plans of care. Exemplifies professional conduct, patient care ethics, and respect for cultural diversity while rendering patient care. Modifies patient care plans appropriately, using age-specific and patient-specific considerations. Supports the mission of the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient physical therapy care to diverse patient populations.
• Utilize evidence-based practices in developing patient care plans.
• Modify care plans based on specific patient needs and cultural considerations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and correspondence.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
• Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Physical Therapist or have requisite paperwork to work as a Student Physical Therapist.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Hospital-based experience is helpful; however, no minimum clinical experience is required.
• Ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations, including non-English speaking patients.
