Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our acute care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including adults, children, and neonates. The role entails performing essential respiratory treatments, managing ventilation, and participating in various procedures within inpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Administer breathing treatments and manage patients on ventilators.
- Perform and analyze ABG draws and samples, as well as EKGs for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Assist in intubation procedures and work collaboratively with a team of therapists in critical care situations.
- Participate in departmental operations including initiating CPAP on infants as needed.
- Document patient care according to established protocols using the Expanse - hCare charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current certifications: STABLE, ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS, and CRT via NBRC; RRT preferred.
- Must possess a valid unexpired driver's license and disclose any licensing hits at submission.
- Experience required in ER, ICU, and inpatient adult respiratory care; pediatric experience preferred but willing to train.
- Familiarity with ventilators, specifically Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1, Avea, and Bipap v60.
