This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

Monday to Friday, day shifts from 6 AM to 2 PM, 7 AM to 3 PM, and 8 AM to 4 PM. No call obligations.

Job Description

The Outpatient Surgery Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing pre-operative care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures in an outpatient setting. The position involves monitoring patients, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety and comfort prior to surgery.

Responsibilities

Pre-op assessment of patients prior to surgical procedures.
Administer medications and IV therapy as necessary.
Monitor patient vitals and report any abnormalities.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.
Assist in the management of patient flow and coordinate with float nurses and aides.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
Experience with IV therapy and monitoring cardiac rhythms.
Previous experience in an outpatient surgery setting preferred.
