Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CICU RN with a current New York license to join our team for a night shift position in a tertiary care hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients in a critical care setting and be capable of a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg. This role includes responsibilities associated with advanced cardiac care and intensive nursing support.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care for patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
Monitor and manage patients on ECMO and other advanced cardiac technologies.
Administer medications, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
Perform interventions such as central line placement, arterial line management, and chest tube insertion.
Participate in interdisciplinary support teams and critical care protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in a critical care environment.
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Epic charting experience is mandatory.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
