Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend coverage required (every other weekend).

Job Description

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with a variety of conditions including COPD, pneumonia, and chest pain.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor patient vitals.
• Manage IVs, blood products, and central line care.
• Provide respiratory support including BiPAP and CPAP management.
• Implement safety and infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical telemetry setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• New York state nursing license required in hand to submit.
• Epic charting experience is mandatory.
• Candidates must be located more than 50 miles from the facility.
