Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department (ED) that manages more than 100,000 visits a year. This department is one of the busiest trauma centers in the country and is the only Level I trauma hospital in the area. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for caring for med/surg boarder patients within the ED, treating a diverse patient population with a wide variety of diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 with assistive personnel.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to med/surg boarder patients.
• Work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN License (only NY licenses are accepted).
• Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
