Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of two years of recent Open-Heart experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program and possess excellent critical thinking skills. Knowledge of central processing and instrumentation is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Open-Heart surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Float and assist in General Surgery when CVOR volumes are low.
• Maintain knowledge of instrumentation and central processing practices.
• Be available for at least 2-3 days of call per week, including weekend calls from Friday’s shift end until Monday morning.

Schedule

The Surgical Technologist will work a standard 40-hour week, with options to work four 10-hour days or five 8-hour shifts (6a - 2:30p) based on traveler preference.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Open-Heart surgical experience.
