Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs and physician direction. Responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, they ensure the design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities. The professional also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of specific therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on patient discharge.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, creating a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional development and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and other regulatory agencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Inpatient hospital experience.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
