Description

Surgical Technologist - GYN Procedures

Location

This position is located in a healthcare facility in North Carolina.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The shift is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 06:45 AM to 03:15 PM.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will assist in various GYN procedures including robotic hysterectomies, therapeutic abortions, and additional surgical interventions aimed at treating conditions such as endometriosis and pelvic disorders. The technician will ensure a sterile environment while supporting the surgical team and maintaining optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

Assist with surgical procedures, focusing on GYN-related cases.
Prepare and maintain sterile operating environments.
Handle specialized equipment such as DA VINCI, NOVASURE, and MYOSURE.
Support and collaborate with surgical staff for optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in patient care and ensure safety protocols are adhered to.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
Robotics training is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
Must possess a valid North Carolina or compact state license during the assignment.
Travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be accepted.
