Skilled Nursing Position - Geriatric Nursing

Location

United Hospital Center, WV

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, rotating weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The skilled nursing facility provides supervised restorative care for older patients recovering from hospitalization or acute illness. It serves as a bridge between high-tech hospitalization and family home care, focusing on geriatrics. The facility fosters an environment where patients can improve their health skills and functioning with comprehensive support from various healthcare disciplines, including medicine, nursing, and respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

Care for post-operative patients, including hips, knees, and shoulders.
Provide rehabilitation for diagnoses such as pneumonia and CHF.
Administer nursing care in accordance with established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

BLS Certification is required.
Valid West Virginia nursing license is necessary for submission.
