12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night). Flexibility with scheduling, including availability for every other weekend, is required.

Job Description

The PCU-Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit, floating within the central pool as required. Nurses must collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit, focusing on cardiology and patients with post-cath., stemis, and structural heart needs.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to any changes in status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in orientation and training programs as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications are required, with NIHSS needed prior to start.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU or telemetry setting.
• Experience in a large trauma level 1 teaching facility is preferred.
• Recent EPIC experience (within the last 2 years) is required.
