This is an 8-hour day shift position with call requirements of at least one weekday per week and every 3-4 weekends. Additional call may be needed based on department needs.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced RN for a position in interventional radiology. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience, conscious sedation experience, and proficiency in interventional radiology procedures. The role involves managing acute and chronic patients, performing invasive procedures under imaging guidance, and administering moderate sedation.
Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Administer moderate sedation and manage patient care during procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedural and patient information.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of strong critical care nursing experience.
- Experience with conscious sedation and interventional radiology procedures.
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
- Experience in a large teaching facility is required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Proven skills in starting PIVs and knowledge of vasoactive drips.
- A valid RN license or proof it is in process must be submitted.
