MRI Technologist - Rochester, NY

Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for efficiently operating MRI machines and ensuring patient comfort before and during scanning procedures, while also coordinating with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to enhance comfort
Insert IVs when necessary for tests
Document all procedures while safeguarding patient confidentiality
Perform patient care tasks as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Two (2) years' experience as an MRI Technologist
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association ONLY
Experience with GE scanners
Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
New York State Radiation Technician License (must be obtained after starting)

Schedule

This position requires weekend shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with holidays, on-call, and callback as per unit needs.
