Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical proficiency, flexibility in scheduling, and adherence to strict attendance policies. This position involves working with diverse patient populations, including those requiring telemetry monitoring and general medical-surgical care.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient telemetry and vital signs while providing general medical-surgical nursing care.
- Administer medications and coordinate care for patients across various medical conditions, including but not limited to respiratory issues, diabetes, and post-operative care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and support, partnering with specialists and ancillary services as necessary.
- Perform EKG interpretations and manage patients with dysrhythmias.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, particularly in medical-surgical and telemetry settings.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Previous charge RN experience is preferred.
- Must have experience using the EPIC charting system.
- The candidate must be prepared to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding.
