Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care for patients with complex medical conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized treatment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a telemedicine setting and be equipped to manage various acute coronary conditions and post-operative scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient conditions in a progressive care setting.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as per treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement patient care plans.
• Perform essential procedures including starting IVs, managing drips, and post-cardiac catheterization care.
• Document patient data accurately using the EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-year clinical experience in a PCU or similar setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NIHSS certification is also necessary prior to start.
• Experience with telemetry and management of insulin and cardiac drips is essential.
• Active nursing license in New York or proof of application.
• Prior experience with EPIC documentation within the last 2 years is required.
