Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) will provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role requires a strong ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in a high-stress environment, ensuring effective communication with medical staff and families.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients' conditions throughout labor and delivery.
Facilitate effective communication between patients, their families, and healthcare teams.
Perform assessments and implement appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
Document patient care and outcomes in compliance with hospital policy.
Participate in patient education regarding childbirth and postnatal care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current RN license and certification as a Registered Nurse.
Experience in labor and delivery nursing strongly preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Compliance with all health and safety regulations as per facility policies.
