The shift is 12 hours, rotating between day and night. Every other weekend is required.
Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in telemetry. This role requires at least 2 years of experience in a large facility and teaching environment, with a strong background in cardiology, particularly with post catheterization, stem cells, and structural heart patients. Candidates must have a flexible approach to scheduling and be open to floating to other units within the Central Pool.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records management.
- Float to Medical/Surgical and other Progressive Care Areas as required.
- Participate in all aspects of patient care, from assessment to discharge.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a telemetry or cardiac unit.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the last 2 years.
