Job Description

The Adult Cardiac OR cares for a diverse array of patients, including those undergoing CABGs, TAVIs, and treatment for Heart Failure (e.g., VADs, ECMO, Artificial Heart, and Heart Transplants). The OR staff utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to provide care for patients of all ages.

As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Operating Room, you will independently function as the RN circulator for complex adult cardiac cases, which may include CABGs, structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (e.g., Impella). Experience with heart transplant procedures is preferred.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

RN License (NY License ONLY)
Two (2) years of operating room experience
Experience in a level 1 trauma setting is highly desired
Ability to scrub and circulate
BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
ACLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
