Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in circulating for various surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, GI, spine, ophthalmology, and podiatry. The OR RN will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs through engagement and active listening.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide direct care, evaluate patient progress, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Promote patient health, safety, and rights in a supportive environment.
• Educate patients and families about self-care and health management beyond hospitalization.
• Document care provided and patient responses accurately in medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (all through AHA/RQI).
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in the Operating Room as a circulator.
• Familiarity with various surgical service lines is required.
