Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma

Location

Maryland

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift; 5x8 hour schedule, from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

The Operating Room RN will be responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate patient care and acting as a resource for patients and families. The role involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent clinical care and to support surgical education and research.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care in the operating room across a variety of surgical services including Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, and more.
Assist in the implementation of surgical protocols and infection control measures.
Participate in educational and training programs as necessary.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Two years of nursing experience in Operating Room settings, with Trauma Level II preferred.
Current Maryland or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and completion of a 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course within 27 weeks.
Proficient in various surgical procedures as outlined in the job description.
