Day shift, 4 - 10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Monday - Saturday variable.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role demands a thorough understanding of various surgical specialties, including orthopedic, general surgery, urology, ENT, plastics, vascular, and gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement patient care in the operating room during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure effective and safe patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure all surgical instruments are properly prepared and accounted for.
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide ongoing assessments during surgery.
• Assist with patient education related to pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Complete required assessments and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Operating Room experience.
• Must have 18 months permanent Operating Room experience prior to travel.
• MUST HAVE PERMANENT Ohio RN license or Compact State in hand at time of submission.
• BLS certification required.
• Recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.
