Schedule
Full-time, rotating shifts between 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM, with variable scheduling as needed, every other weekend, and holiday shifts included.
Job Description
The ICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care for patients in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include effective patient assessment, implementing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams while ensuring optimal care tailored to the age-specific needs of patients across the lifespan.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient conditions critically.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required through RQI during clinical orientation.
- Basic Coronary Care certification within six months of hire.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) recommended within two years of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with computer literacy preferred.
