Schedule
This position requires a full-time schedule of three 12-hour day shifts (7 AM - 7:30 PM) plus holidays and every other weekend. Two on-call shifts are also required every four weeks.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) who is cross-trained in multiple units, including Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and have critical care experience. You must be comfortable floating between units and providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in various units, including ICU, ER, Med/Surg, and MST.
- Execute care plans and monitor patient progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Demonstrate expertise in age-specific care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current New York State RN License.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Minimum of one year experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Critical Care units.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all through AHA or RQI), NIHSS required during clinical orientation.
- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire; CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Emergency Nurses Association certification and TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire.
