Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate the MRI machine efficiently while making patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedures. Coordination with the patient's physician to ensure timely receipt of results is also essential. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
• Perform patient care tasks as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (ONLY)
• Must have experience with GE scanners
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
• Certification through the ARRT or similar organization is highly desired
• Must obtain NYS Rad Tech license after starting

Schedule

Weekend days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday; on-call and callback per unit needs during holidays.
