Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, identifying patient needs, and determining priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments and initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems, physician's diagnosis, and functional health framework.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manage care of patients and document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS-AHA certification required.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• NRP certification required; ACLS, Advanced AWHONN or EFM preferred.
