Schedule

Agency RNs will work three 12-hour shifts per week, specifically during the AM schedule from 07:00 to 19:30, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The Agency RN will provide inpatient-level nursing care to patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed. This role supports patient safety, throughput, and the continuity of care during high hospital census periods.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to admitted patients within the Emergency Department.
Monitor patients requiring telemetry, IV medications, and post-procedural care.
Collaborate with ED physicians, hospitalists, ICU teams, and inpatient services.
Adapt to changing departmental needs while remaining within clinical competency.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Recent inpatient medical-surgical experience.
Active RN license.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
