Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN/OR)

Location

This position is based in a healthcare facility located in the state of Vermont.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 10 hours long, with day and evening rotations, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, including on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the Operating Room with a focus on orthopedic specialties, primarily total joint procedures. Candidates should have proficiency in scrubbing and ortho skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe and effective patient care in the OR.
  • Assist in surgeries, utilizing orthopedic and scrubbing skills.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and environment.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Current RN license in the state of Vermont.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Experience in orthopedic surgery and scrubbing is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR technology is preferred.
