Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN/OR)

Location

This position is based in a healthcare facility located in the state of Vermont.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 10 hours long, with day and evening rotations, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, including on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in the Operating Room with a focus on orthopedic specialties, primarily total joint procedures. Candidates should have proficiency in scrubbing and ortho skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure safe and effective patient care in the OR.
Assist in surgeries, utilizing orthopedic and scrubbing skills.
Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain sterile techniques and environment.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current RN license in the state of Vermont.
BLS certification is required.
Experience in orthopedic surgery and scrubbing is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Cerner EMR technology is preferred.
