Schedule
This position entails a varied schedule of three 8-hour shifts and one 12-hour shift per week, totaling 36 hours. Shift times range from 11 PM to 7 AM, 3 PM to 11 PM, and 7 PM to 7 AM.
Job Description
The RN House Supervisor serves as a vital resource for problem-solving and providing clinical expertise. This role facilitates staff mentoring and coaching while managing patient flow during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays for the entire 180-bed facility. The facility includes five units dedicated to residents with a variety of diagnoses, including dementia, diabetes, cerebrovascular accidents, and those requiring orthopedic treatments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support nursing care delivered across all facility units.
- Facilitate staff coordination and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to staff members during off-shifts.
- Implement and monitor compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in managing complex patient behaviors, particularly in units with residents diagnosed with dementia.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of charge experience required.
- Must possess a valid NY state nursing license.
- Experience with the EPIC charting system is mandatory.
- BLSS certification required.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
