Night shift: 3x12 hours (20:00 to 08:30); every other weekend and holidays as required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Tele Stepdown RN for night shifts. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), gastrointestinal bleeding, End Stage Renal Disease, and cardiac dysrhythmias requiring cardiac monitoring. Special procedures include peritoneal dialysis and bedside thoracentesis.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients in a tele stepdown unit.
• Implement care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care and procedures.
• Perform and assist with special procedures as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a stepdown or telemetry setting.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
