Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tele Stepdown RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience to provide high-quality nursing care in our tele stepdown unit. The RN will work with patients requiring cardiac monitoring and manage various diagnoses, including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), gastrointestinal bleeding, end-stage renal disease, and cardiac dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for adults and geriatrics, monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and more.
• Perform special procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and bedside thoracentesis.
• Utilize telemetry for remote monitoring of patients and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS.
• Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic.
• Preferred: Charge nurse experience, community hospital, and LTAC experience.
