Job Description

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse develops a care plan in coordination with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary, and communicates changes in the patient's clinical condition with physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and co-workers as appropriate. Participation in the discharge planning process is also required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding changes in patient conditions.
• Participate in the discharge planning process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2 years of recent experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• ACLS & BLS certifications must be attached to submission packet (must be through the American Heart Association).
• CPI certification must be attached to submission packet.
• Must have an Ohio RN or multi-state RN license attached to résumé.
