Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room is responsible for immediately assessing each individual patient upon admission, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, discharge planning factors, and support from significant others or family members as appropriate. The role includes the ongoing assessment and reassessment of patients, identifying their needs and problems, and developing individualized nursing care plans that cater to the needs of each patient in the intraoperative setting.

Responsibilities

Assess and reassess patients on an ongoing basis.
Identifying patient needs and implementing nursing interventions.
Develop individualized plans of nursing care for patients in the intraoperative setting.
Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

3 years of main hospital experience required.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Experience with Meditech charting system is required.
