This position requires 12-hour shifts from 0645 to 1915, with every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the overall nursing practice within the unit during the assigned shift. Reporting to the Unit Manager, or in their absence, to the Nursing Supervisor or Charge Nurse, the RN provides comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process. This includes patient assessment, care planning, implementation of nursing measures, and evaluation of the effectiveness of care and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient health data through systematic assessment and documentation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
• Implement nursing interventions as per the established care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress toward expected outcomes continuously.
• Participate in quality care activities and improvement initiatives.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health-related issues.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members for coordinated patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• EPIC patient charting experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
