This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Daylight shifts with a rotating schedule, including:
- 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- 7:30 AM - until finish (includes elective cases and any add-ons)
Weekend on-call required (6 AM to 6 PM, 2 weekends in a 6-week schedule). No elective schedule, only call coverage.
Job Description
This position is part of a small team of 6 staff (3 RNs and 3 surgical techs), covering 2 orthopedic operating rooms, 5 days a week. The 7:30 AM team will need to stay to finish elective cases and any add-ons, which may require working past the scheduled shift by 1 to 2 hours, though this is uncommon.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures in the orthopedic specialty.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during surgeries.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to achieve optimal outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Valid RN license or surgical tech certification.
- Prior experience in orthopedic surgery preferred.
