Night shift from 03:00 AM to 03:00 PM, working three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care on a fast-paced, high acuity unit. The nurse will specialize in the care of patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, and post MI, as well as administering cardiac pharmacological interventions. This position will also include exposure to the Hematology/Oncology unit, with an opportunity for cross-training in the MICU.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage symptoms related to cancer treatment.
• Perform care and management for patients receiving active treatment or recovering from chemotherapy.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary support teams, including physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York nursing license in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting.
• Chemo Certification, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Experience with EPIC charting.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
