This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule or Shift

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:30); Mid 3x12-Hour (15:00 - 03:30). Rotating Mids/Eves as needed.

Job Description

The Emergency Room RN will work in a fast-paced, high-volume general emergency department, providing care to a wide range of complex patient diagnoses across the pediatric through geriatric population. The nurse will be expected to manage varying acuity levels, from multi-diagnoses to acute situations.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department.
Perform essential nursing tasks including administering medications, conducting assessments, and managing patient care during dynamic conditions.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
Float within sister emergency departments as required.
Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH and CPI (on-site during onboarding).
Experience with Epic clinical charting system.
Previous charge experience required.
