Job Description

The Emergency Department RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced ED setting, handling a broad range of patient diagnoses across all age groups. The position requires flexibility in shift assignments based on departmental needs, with a primary focus on night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to all patients.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and coordinate treatment for patients with various conditions.
• Manage and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Epic charting system.
• Participate in patient education and community outreach as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Current RN license in Maryland or compact license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (to be completed during onboarding).
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:4, and familiarity with diverse patient diagnoses.
• Must be comfortable floating within the ED and to sister facilities as needed.
