Job Description

Functioning within the Health System's mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Ensure patient care meets scientific and clinical standards.
• Teach and direct non-RN staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ Years of ICU Experience - Required
• Immediate Open Heart Recovery Experience - Required
• TNCC Certification - Highly Preferred
• Nursys must show Active Ohio/OH or Compact RN License - Required
• Active American Heart Association BLS - Required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS - Required
• Active NIHSS Certification - Required
