Job Description
The CVOR RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing open heart surgery. This role demands extensive experience in CVOR with proficiency in managing patient care during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care during open heart surgeries in the CVOR.
- Monitor patient status and vital signs pre, intra, and post-operatively.
- Collaborate with surgical and medical staff to ensure optimal patient safety and care.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room and sterile field.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Open heart surgery experience is a must.
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by state regulations.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with charge experience preferred.
- 1-year experience with EPIC EMR is required.
