Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patients' needs and physician directions. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning to develop and progress treatment plans and goals, focusing on timely discharge.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address discharge barriers.
  • Effectively manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
  • Document medical records accurately and timely in compliance with guidelines.
  • Participate in the educational development of students and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain an individual professional development plan and pursue continuing education opportunities.
  • Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain licensure in good standing.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
  • Must hold a valid, current State license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
