Job Description

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This role involves developing nursing care plans in coordination with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. Communication of changes in the patient's clinical condition with physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and co-workers is crucial. Participation in the discharge planning process is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Deliver direct patient care in psychiatric settings.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status.
• Participate actively in patient discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• Valid Ohio RN license or multi-state RN license.
