Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM plus on-call responsibilities. Weekend and holiday call required.

Job Description

The OR RN Circulator is primarily responsible for applying the nursing process in the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. This role encompasses ensuring proper documentation reflecting assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical interventions, and evaluation of patient responses to treatments. Additionally, the RN Circulator will assign and evaluate the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Document and evaluate clinical interventions and patient responses.
• Assign and supervise non-nursing direct care providers in the operating room.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• CNOR preferred.
