ER Registered Nurse (RN) - 13-Week Assignment

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (11:00 - 23:30). 36 guaranteed hours per week with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The ER Registered Nurse (RN) will provide critical care to patients in an emergency room setting, managing a variety of acute conditions and performing necessary interventions based on assessed needs.

Responsibilities

Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
Administer blood products and manage central lines.
Start and maintain IVs; administer IV sedation and vasopressors.
Care for stroke (CVA) and ventilated patients.
Manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
Follow isolation precautions and perform triage.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience, with 2 years of recent ER experience required.
Active state nursing license (NY or compact) is required.
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
No disciplinary issues on nursing license.
