Schedule

Full-time, 3x12s - Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with every other weekend and holidays required, plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The 3 North RN provides care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions, promoting comfort and providing emotional support in a Healing Environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient/family needs and create individualized plans of care.
• Promote patient safety and advocate for patient rights.
• Educate patients and families on self-care and lifestyle changes.
• Document care and evaluate patient/family responses to education provided.
• Engage in quality improvement activities and self-evaluation of nursing practice.
• Develop trusting relationships with patients and families, ensuring they are central to care.
• Administer medications and interventions as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or RQI only).
• One year experience serving in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse required.
