Job Description
The facility is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for patients in a specialized oncology unit. The candidate will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and coordinating treatment plans under the supervision of clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy according to treatment protocols.
- Manage blood products, IV antibiotics, and anticoagulant infusions.
- Provide central line care and maintenance.
- Perform IV starts and manage telemetry for patient monitoring.
- Support tube feedings and other patient care activities as required.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience is required.
- Experience in a large teaching facility and EPIC EMR within the last 2 years is mandatory.
- Experience in oncology nursing or a similar specialty environment is preferred.
