Day and Evening shifts available: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. Required to work every Saturday and Sunday, with additional availability on other days.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Adult Crisis Unit. This position requires a compassionate and skilled nurse capable of providing high-quality care to adults experiencing mental health crises. The RN will work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team to ensure appropriate treatment and support for individuals with various psychiatric conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adults with mental health disorders including major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, and PTSD.
- Assess patients, create care plans, and administer medications as necessary.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Work as a charge nurse as needed, with no additional compensation for this role during shifts.
- Float to different areas within the facility as required, providing care across various age populations.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- RN license required in the state of Maryland.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous charge RN experience preferred.
- Experience with Allscripts (Sunrise) electronic medical record system is a plus.
